Best Phone Ever

I've been through quite a few phones and this is my best so far, my second Android to be exact, probably my millionth phone though, lulz, first phone I've had with no freezes, ever. The dual core processor at 1.5ghz is marvelous, might not be the same chipset as the original s2, but the extra processing speed makes up for it without a doubt, the gpu might not be as great as the mali 400 but I can't lie, I've not been disappointed by any of the games and videos I've thrown at it so far, full 1080p videos, looking crisp as ever. Alongside the 42mbps down speed, you don't actually get that, max speed I've gotten so far on speed test is about 15mbps, but serious, would you notice the difference with pages loading faster than any other phone you own and downloads finishing so quickly you need to check if your wifi is on or something? Call quality is also marvelous, no dropped calls for the 4 months I've had mine and I'm still on the stock rom that comes with it, I've actually had no need to root this device, probably the best stock rom I've ever come across or is it the processor that's so fast it's making it look good on samsung's behalf and t-mobile's? Who knows, the screen size was my main attraction knowing I've had issues with even 4inch screens, reason being why I was never fascinated by the iphone, though it is a decent device, but my thumbs are a little big, the screen makes typing so much easier and simpler. And customization wise? Well thanks to Android, I don't need to root to do that, just download whatever customizations I want right off of the play store, anything more complicated that requires root is pretty simple on the device to do too, root is just a click a way, thanks to xda devs for that. So that's about it for my review, getting a little too much on the lengthy side, though I have a lot more I could say, lol. This will most likely be the only phone I'll stay on for more than 6months, since it pretty much satisfies the geek in me, well until something just as solid in the next generation of handsets comes along and well, that depends on if I ever get tired of this phone as well, which doesn't seem to be anywhere close.

Great phone, came with one major problem

So this phone came great... shiny, beautiful and everything I wanted in my first phone. It was cool until I plugged in the phone to my wall and computer by USB and it refused to charge. It is now dead and will not accept the charge at all, it just vibrates and tells me the connection is bad. I am going to return it when I get home from work today, but I just want to fair warn people that this seems to be a growing problem (after google searches) and be prepared to return the phone a few times.

Looks Good So Far

I bought mine from the Daily Cellular. Ordered it at 748pm on Friday and it got here a little under 12 hours later. I loved that part.** I do not know if it is a brand new device**1) Did not come in a Samsung Rugby AT&T branded box. It came in a generic AT&T box. The type a refurbished or replacement phone would come in. Generic labels like: Camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. Nothing actually about the true specs of the phone. No user guide came with it either. A quick start up guide but no actual manuel. Not an issue for me but some my find it troublesome. it came with the AT&T "Texting can wait" sticker on the screen but that means nothing2) I received it with a small scratch on the bottom left hand corner on the front facing side of the device. & it looks like a small piece of plastic on the back battery door lock screw came off, it does not affect the cover from staying on or the water proof seal.I understand since this is a unlocked GSM phone they would have to take it out and type in an unlock code to... unlock it but not sure why it didn't come in original boxing.& I don't know if it is actually unlocked. I emailed them and said it is. Straight Talk works on locked AT&T phones so if someone was to stick a T-Mobile card in there, I would not know the outcome.How I feel about the phone its self after having it for a few days? I LOVE IT!I have owned a Samsung Fascinate, Palm Pixi, HP Veer, iPhone 4, & Samsung Galaxy 3 and this is my favorite of them all yet.**The fact that it is a rugged device makes me feel better about it. I don't plan on dropping it or leaving it in extreme temperatures but the fact that it can withstand that helps. I have had successes with Samsung devices, I still use my Samsung Fascinate 2.5 years later after its been dropped a few times and its still functional. If this device can withstand my kinda use plus has rugged abilities, I'm expecting a good solid 3 years out of this device.**I was with Verizon for a while but now I switched to Straight Talk ( I activated this device on it). All me previous devices were on Verizon and the only thing I miss is the coverage.*Pros*-Feels great in my hands not bulky at all not heavy-Built well, nice soft rubbery feeling on the sides. (does have plastic on the back)-I actually like the physical buttons more instead of the touch buttons-Comes with a built in flashlight shortcut (hold up volume key when phone screen is locked)-Does't feel cheap. I know they say this is a mid range android device but with a 1400mhz processor its just as fast as the top of the line phones-*It's Really Water Proof* That was a big turn on to me and I had to test it out. While I was in the shower I splashed it, dunked it in maybe 5 inches of water, still good. I also browed Youtube videos, Play Store, Netflix and used Skype. It has a microphone on the back so people can actually hear me and not the sound of all the water. I don't know how rugged it is or how it can withstand extreme temperatures. I'm not going to purposely drop it but if I do, I feel comfortable knowing its supposed to be able to hold up.-Front and rear cameras both are great for Skype and photos respectively*Cons*-Runs Android Gingerbread: This IS NOT a big problem for me, I do not care about the style changed between android 2.0 and 4.0 but I do really miss Google Now.- Touch screen does not work well while in water. I understand why it doesn't (all the warm water on the screen confusing it) but texting did prove difficult while in the shower.Other than that, there is nothing I dislike. As I said, this is my favorite device I've ever had and hope it will be around for a while.

Finally..... a decent dual sim phone!!

This dual sim is an upgrade to its cousin the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102 Android Dual SIM Quadband Unlocked.Pros:- Dual sim works flawlessly. The Samsung software to manage the sim cards is very easy to master. By pulling down the top curtain you can easily switch which sim is the primarily and thereby choose which sim to call/text from. Also, from the sim setting you can quickly decide which sim should be used for data or turn off the data completely.- Excellent for frequent travelers that need to handle multiple sims cards without the burden of multiple phones. Also works well for those that want to separate work and private lines without having to carry two phones.- Android 2.3 Gingerbread (have not heard of any update to ICS 4.x)- Full functioning Google play market for apps.- SD slot that takes up to 32 gb (I am using it with 16gb)- Wifi and bluetooth 3.0- Very good battery life. The phone will easily take you through the day with average use.Neutral:- Okay specs for a budget dual sim phone. It's single core and has 832MHz CPU; 512 MB System memory and 3.5MP Camera- 3.5" size screen (this the minimum I feel that any smart phone should have in order to browse and read easily).- Okay screen resolution 320 x 480 Pixels and 165 ppi pixel density. Screen is responsive to scrolling.- Good call quality.Cons:- No front-facing camera for video conferencing- No camera flash (but camera has Auto focus and Smile detection)- No support for Adobe Flash- No Mobile hotspotOverall, a decent mid-range dual sim android phone by a reputable company for under $250. There is a slight but useful upgrade to the Galaxy Y Duos mostly in the display. Whether this improvement is worth $100 extra over the SG Y Duos will depend on the value you place on having a slightly larger screen (3.15" vs 3.5") with better pixel density.NB:- I bought my phone here on Amazon for $232.99 from HassleFreeCell on August 27, 2012. I had no issues with my shopping experience.- Although the product description above lists 3G Network HSDPA as 850/1900, be aware that sellers get their phones from different markets. So check with your sellers before buying to avoid surprises.

Small number of language packs

By and large, I am happy with this item. However, the phone only comes with four language packs, namely English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean. I need some other languages and have so far not been able to find an offical download site . This infomation ought to be disclosed to potential buyers.
