Product Description

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo offers a new way to experience the latest Android smartphone fundamentals, such as apps, email, maps and fast web browsing, with the best of Sony's multimedia technology. The Neo handset has a distinctive curved shape that is principally designed to ergonomically fit perfectly in your hand, expecially when taking pictures.

Inside the Xperia Neo is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor to give it good performance when browsing the internet or using apps. The Neo houses a 3.7 inch screen that shows off a healthy 854 x 480 resolution and utilises Sony Ericsson's Reality Display technology and the Mobile BRAVIA graphics engine to produce a crystal clear image. The Xperia Neo also has a strong focus on digital photography, coming with an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash that can capture HD quality video and has Sony's Exmor R sensor on board which allows you take great quality pictures in any light. What's even better is you can plug the Xperia Neo handset into your HDTV via the HDMI socket and see your videos and pictures on the big screen.

4Great Phone....
By zaza
This phone will not disappoint. I bought mine last year and hasnt given me any issues. I love the Skype feature and the picture clarity is awesome, although the HD camera needs some attention cause i find it hard to take HD pics, the regular camera is amazing so i just take regular photos. Despite that lil issue this phone is a 10.

5Best sony phone I ever used, Simple Slick and Stylish
By cmehta82
I have ordered this phone for my self and within a week my friend asked me to order one for him. Using it from last one month, this one is one of the best Sony phones I am using from last 7 years. I am a crazy Sony lover, and when I knew about Android I have written a latter to company about the Android phones fortunately in 2011 they launched XPeria series with Android. The best part of this phone is it has all the features which a smart phone can have. Front Camera, HDMI, 3G Ready, XLOUD Music, HD Recording, 8 Mega Pixels, 3D Panorama Capture, Wi-Fi, Blue-Tooth, Android, FM, LED Light, BRAVIA Screen, and what a design.Let's have a look on some special, but very basic feature, one by one:Camera: 8 Mega pixels, I will give camera as 8 out of 10. It takes very good quality picture in day light and nice pictures in very dark area with the LED Flesh. They claim that Exmor R will catch nice pictures in low light. But I didn't found it very impressive, but on the other hand the 3D swipe panorama feature (Comes only when you upgrade the software) is really excellent.Front Camera: It is only VGA Camera which is not useful to take your own pictures. It's good though for video chat and video calls. But Sony should improve front cam quality; even one of my old Sony phone - C510 has the same VGA front camera.Screen: A 3.7 inch screen is perfect for all who wants to play of watch video. I have seen couple of movies using my Netflix on Phone, and I found it much better than my IPod touch. Playing game is also fun with XPeria neo; the touch-screen-sensor is very fine and recognize even your slightest touch on screen, some times it's annoying if you are not familiar with touch pad's or smart phone without qwerty key board. You do lot's of mistake because of this while typing a mail or message. But eventually when you are used to with the phone, it will no longer be an issue; overall 9 out of 10.Battery: This is most annoying part for most of the Sony phone users, now for new XPeria neo I will rate battery as 6.5 out of 10. Sony still needs to adapt to compete with other manufacturer in this front. But I need to keep in mind that I am using a Smart Phone with ANDROID GINGERBREAD. I played "Miracle City"; One of the game which uses internet to play; I got a low battery buzz after playing around for 4.5 hours continuously from 100% to 15%. The stand by time for phone is at max 3-4 days and not 400 hours as Sony claims, as it does many operations even in background. Music play was good, I played around 6-7 hours for music and battery was decreased only about 30%; so not good. But overall still better has been improved as compared to old CYBERSHOT and WALKMAN Phones.Music: Wow, I would definitely give 9.5 out of 10 for Music. Much better sound quality and what crystal clarity on many bits of music I got when I played my all time favorite song, "Summer of 69". The default Sony head-phones I am still not used to with old buds which goes inside your ear. I don't like it. I use my SENNHEISER PX 60, with Sony which works like a gem. I loved to have this XLOUD music addition with the default media player. There are around 20 equalizer settings you can do with the music. My personal favorite is rock ;).Performance: If you have around 750 songs on your mobile with 8 GB Card, with around 80 applications, most of them are internet application but your phone still responds to your slightest touch within micro seconds than it's a really good phone. Starting of phone is little poor, took 50 sec to load the first screen, and additional 20 sec to finish complete restart. In particular 7.5 Out of 10; 'Social Networking: If you do not have a Google mail account create one ;). You can directly sync contact to your Google mail account, and copy and backup your phone contacts with Google mail account. The other best part is merging of contacts. I am not sure whether it's Android or Sony who make the contact merge functionality. You can merge your Google Mail contacts with your old phone contacts and Facebook contacts, "Same name contact will be merged automatically if there is only one entry in Google mail, Facebook and Phone book", but you can edit and separate or join more; 10 out of 10.Overall phone rating I will give 9 out of 10. It's a nice handy phone, but only for Sony Lover, if you are not a Sony lover and already have used another Smart phone, then you might have too high expectation with this phone. I am a Sony lover, I know how Sony Phone's work so, had very less expectation with the XPeria Neo, overall I will recommend this phone to all my friend.
