Nice phone, no 3G on T-mobile

I purchased this phone as a gift through MobileCityOnline's website (not Amazon), where the description says, "Huawei Honor U8860 Android Smartphone (3G 1700MHz T-Mobile) Black Unlocked Import Mobile Phone." However, we have been unable to get 3G working at all. After a lot of searching online there seems to be a lot of misinformation from all of the cell phone review sites and blogs that say this phone is T-mobile 3G compatible. Huawei's website, which I should have checked before ordering, does not list T-mobile's 3G frequency (1700MHz) for this phone.We are able to get data on 2G EDGE through T-mobile and the phone itself is very nice for the price, especially since I upgraded it to Android ICS 4.03 very easily via Huawei's website. Just don't expect anything more than 2G speeds on T-mobile's network.

no 3G

this phone will not connect to any 3g network here in the US. even with the 1700 band it will not connect with t-mobile's network. good merchant, really bad product for 3g fail.

is a very good phone gets better once you upgrade to ics can do more things and 3g works well in Costa Rica ice kolbi the battery life is good compared to other smartphones and Adreno 205 GPU gaming is excellent and the camera takes good pictures in 720p 8 megapixels is thin and does not weigh much has good size the sound is goodOn this phone I played GTA III asphalt 7 9mm gangstar rio Minecraft Dead trigger and more
