Great, who needs a contract?

Outstanding deal. Performance is great, and so far every function works with Straight Talk (t-mobile) for $45/mo. The front and back cameras are probably sub-par, but nothing earth-shattering. Things to note: it is limited to 3g, GPS MUST have a data connection to access the map data (I tried it), screen is lower res compared to higher end phones (but not bad at all), and the battery does get drained fast if you have two sim cards active. But its pretty cool you can actually change between the two sims on the fly without shutting down the phone; that's true for both data or phone services. It has expandable storage (micro sim), comes with an extra (giant) battery, and battery life is equivalent to an iPhone, about 6-8 hours with heavy use. The screen is responsive and colorful, lower res than the state of the art but not lacking really. Wi-fi is perfect. The GPS chip tracks satellites very accurately but it takes a bit of time to acquire. Once up and running the GPS is superior to any GPS unit and the iPhone, the best turn by turn navigation on a great 5 inch screen! Blutooth might be bit flakey but I'm still evaluating that; it may have trouble running blutooth+gps+data simultaneously. Minus those specific points there's no sense of anything lacking at all, its a great smart phone. It took approximately 25 days to get to me, a slight bummer. But for $160 unlocked how can you complain? It sure beats $100/mo contract phones. Cases are indeed a problem. Although it resembles the Samsung Galaxy Note v1 or v2 it is NOT the same size as either, several centimeters off in planar dimensions and with buttons in different places compared to both. I'm still looking for a protective case and I'd recommend you immediately get a screen protector if you buy this thing...I did get scratches on the glass from inadvertently having my keys in the same pocket as the phone. An easy solution, buy an over-sized screen protector and cut it down to size (Walmart...$5). If anyone finds a good case let me know please...I've looked everywhere and ordered two from Amazon that didn't fit. As a former iPhone owner, Iphone has next to nothing over this when you factor in all the Android benefits (great turn by turn GPS, toggle switches for all functions, larger screen, easy USB computer connectivity, plenty of apps, expandable battery & storage, etc.etc., greater customization), its just a much better deal.

Great Phone

This is a great phone. Only problems is the seller loads the OS with software that spams your pull down bar with advertisements (some in Chinese) that will show up once every couple days. Besides that it is well worth the money and works better than my pad. However, if you want to play games like Splinter or Shrek Cart you will need something with a dual or quad processor. Those games load and start but will crash. You can play things like Angry birds, Temple Run, and Reactor with no problems.

En general este teléfono anda bien, es bastante rápido, puedes tener dos compañías telefónicas en los SIM, trae una cubierta protectora del teléfono y de la pantalla, las baterías andan bien; el único detalle hasta ahora ha sido su cámara fotográfica, que en ocasiones pierde los colores y queda con un tono verde, apretando la zona superior derecha recobra su nitidez, pero eso no debiera suceder.Overall this phone is well, is very fast, you can have two phone companies in the SIM, get a protective cover and screen phone, the batteries are going well, the only downside so far has been his camera, sometimes colors and is lost in a green tone, pressing the top right regains its sharpness, but that should not happen.Greetings from Chile.
